Project

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager with a strong business mindset and deep technical background. While technical credibility is essential, this roles primary purpose is leadership, decision-making, and alignment.

Role

• Set technical direction and architectural standards for large-scale distributed systems
• Validate designs, challenge decisions, and guide teams through complex trade-offs
• Ensure technical choices support business goals, scalability, and long-term sustainability
• Lead and develop engineering teams, owning performance management and career progression
• Drive execution through planning, sequencing, dependency and risk management
• Maintain delivery focus in remote/hybrid environments
• Act as the primary interface between engineering and business leadership
• Align technical execution with strategic priorities and managing conflict expectations

We are looking for

• 5+ years of backend experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Strong experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems
• System design rigor at Amazon/Google level
• Proven people management experience
• Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills
• Comfort operating in high-ambiguity environments
• Time zone flexibility due to remote collaboration with stakeholders
• Background or strong exposure to business or management
• Experience balancing technical leadership with people leadership
• Agile delivery at scale
